We connect you with people who’ve volunteered to refer candidates at their companies, and help you see relevant job openings along the way.
We collect your account details and job preferences. If you use our CV review or ATS-check tool, we also collect the CV you upload for that specific purpose.
We never receive, hold, or send your CV to a company or referrer. When you’re shown a referral contact, reaching out and sharing your own materials is between you and them.
If you sign up to be a referrer yourself, we share your contact details with paying members eligible to see them.
We never sell your personal data.
You can access, correct, download, or delete your data at any time — see Section 9.

1Who we are
REFERALLY LTD (company no. 517367751), located at Harei Yerushalayim 37, Lapid, Israel, operates this Service (“REFERALLY”, “we”, “us”) and is the data controller responsible for your personal data under this policy.

2Scope of this policy
This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit our website, create an account, subscribe to a paid plan, join our WhatsApp groups, sign up as a referrer, or use any REFERALLY feature (together, the “Service”).
We are not the employer, we don’t make hiring decisions, and we don’t submit your CV to anyone. A referral is never a guarantee of an interview or a job.
3Data we collect
Data you give us
Account data — name, email address, and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with us.
Profile & preferences — your seniority level, field/role (Software, Hardware, Data, Product), target companies and locations, and the WhatsApp group(s) you join.
Referrer data (only if you sign up to be a referrer) — your name, employer, and the contact details (email, phone, or link) you choose to share with paying members.
CV data (only if you use the Premium CV review or ATS-check tool) — the CV and any materials you upload for that specific feature. We do not use this CV for referrals and do not share it with any company or referrer.
Payment data — plan, billing currency (₪), and transaction records. Card details are entered directly with our payment provider (Sumit); we don’t store full payment-instrument numbers.
Communications — messages you send us by email, chat, or WhatsApp.
Data we collect automatically
Usage data — pages viewed, features used, and actions taken in the Service.
Device & technical data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and approximate location derived from your IP.

Data from third parties
Google, if you use Google sign-in.
WhatsApp/Meta, when you join and interact with our groups, subject to their own terms.
Our payment provider, which confirms your payment status to us.
4How we use your data
To create and manage your account and deliver the Service.
To match you to relevant openings and deliver them to your WhatsApp group(s).
To show eligible paying members a referrer’s contact details, and, if you’re a referrer, to display your contact details to those members.
To provide the CV review / ATS-check feature, for members who use it.
To process payments, manage your subscription, and send billing notices.
To provide support and respond to your requests.
To improve and secure the Service and prevent fraud or abuse.
To send you service messages and, where permitted, marketing messages — you can opt out of marketing at any time.
To comply with legal obligations.
5Legal bases for processing
Where Israel’s Protection of Privacy Law or the GDPR applies, we rely on:
Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you signed up for.
Consent — for optional activities such as marketing messages, non-essential cookies, and becoming a referrer. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate interests — to improve, secure, and promote the Service, where not overridden by your rights.
Legal obligation — to meet accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
6When we share data
Referrer contacts — if you’re a paying member eligible to see a referral contact, we show you that referrer’s name and contact details. If you’re a referrer, this is how and why your details are shared. We do not share your CV with any company or referrer — we don’t have it, unless you separately used the CV review/ATS-check tool, in which case it’s used only for that feature and is not shared externally.
Service providers (processors) — hosting, analytics, payment processing, and messaging (WhatsApp/Meta), acting on our instructions under a data-processing agreement.
Legal & safety — where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Business transfers — if we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, data may transfer to the successor under this policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
7How referrals work, and what happens to your CV
Getting referred is the heart of REFERALLY, so it deserves its own section.
When you’re eligible (on a paid plan), we show you the contact details of an employee who has opted in to be a referrer at a company you’re interested in.
You decide whether and how to reach out, and what to share, including your CV. REFERALLY does not receive, process, or transmit your CV or application to the company or the referrer.
Once you’ve contacted a referrer or a company directly, your information is handled under their own privacy practices, entirely outside our control.
If you use the separate CV review or ATS-check tool, the CV you upload there is used only for that feature and is not sent to any referrer or company.
You’re responsible for the accuracy of anything you share when you reach out to a referrer or company.
8How long we keep data
Account & profile data — for as long as your account is active, then deleted or anonymized within 12 months of closure.
Referrer data — retained while you’re an active referrer, then deleted or anonymized within 12 months after you opt out.
CV data (review/ATS tool only) — retained for 12 months after upload, or until you delete it from your account.
Payment & tax records — retained for the period required by applicable law.
9Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
Access — get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure — ask us to delete your data where there’s no overriding legal reason to keep it.
Objection & restriction — object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent.
Complain — to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or your local supervisory authority.

10Security
We use reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.
11International transfers
We and our service providers may process your data outside Israel. Where we do, we use safeguards recognized under applicable law to protect your data.
12Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember your preferences, and understand usage. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to manage your choices.
13Minors
The Service is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below that age; if you believe a minor has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with an updated “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you through the Service or by email.
